Why I chose the IV therapy business

I have been a Registered Nurse since 2012 and it has been the single best decision I have ever made in my life (ok, ok besides marrying my hubby).  I have worked almost exclusively in Women's Health, anything from floor nursing in critical access hospitals to L&D travel nursing to eventually landing a WFH position as a high-risk OB case manager for an insurance company.  It has been a wild ride for sure and fun and rewarding for the most part, but I have never really been in control of my income.  If I wanted more, I had to sacrifice so much like finding top paying assignments 2500 miles away from home or finding local travel gigs that worked around kid's sports practices and student of the week celebrations (usually on the night shift) or selling my soul to the devil by working strike assignments that may or may not get me home in time for holidays.  I even hustled with different MLMs which seemed promising, but took me away from my kids on weekends and evenings and then took 1/2 my hard earned money.  I knew there was a better way, but HOW?   I needed to own my own business.

IV hydration and wellness services have always been something I have been interested in, because of the flexibility and because, as a nurse, I witnessed every day the benefits of a bag of fluids and how easy and quick it was to get people feeling better.  Unfortunately by the time I saw patients in the hospital, they were already sick as a dog!  I had always thought, how cool would it be to have in home access to vitamins and minerals to PREVENT illness.  Or if when you first began feeling sick, you could literally call your nurse and get your fluids and meds delivered to you the same day, rather than laying on the couch for three days thinking you were going to die!  What if you didn't have to spend time calling all your friends and family looking for a sitter for your kids so you could go sit for 3 hours in the ER and then pay $1000 for a bag of fluids.  I knew we could do better and I knew I had the skills to make it happen and earn a living doing it!
